Asher is our superhero. Showing him in his Super Hero cape as he leads us in the war against Rb is perfect to encourage everyone to rally behind him, his family, and childhood cancer research.

Asher Rock

When you walk through the halls of COG, Asher Rock is one of the most enthusiastic kids you'll meet. You would not know that in 2014 at 4 months old, Asher was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Retinoblastoma. Asher’s tumor was classified as a grade “D”, on a scale of “A” to E”, “E” being non-curable without removing the eye itself. His tumor measured 12mm, and an infant’s eye at his age only measures about 15mm. It was blocking his central vision, and had caused his retina to fully detach. And so, Asher’s fight against Retinoblastoma began just two days later. Since then he has received chemotherapy, has undergone numerous eye exams under anesthesia accompanied with laser or cryotherapy treatments, MRIs, and countless other appointments, and hospital visits. As Asher and his amazing family continue to fight Rb, so do we. Help us support Asher, his family, and childhood cancer research!
