Ben Grossman is one of the founding colleagues at Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners, an insurance agency in Tampa, FL.
Ben lives with his wife - named Pat Markey - near their daughter and grandchildren. In July 2014 he was diagnosed with alzheimer's after he noticed a progressive decline in memory. Since Ben's absence from the office is hard to ignore, BKS has created this design in honor of him.
Ben is an avid fan of chili, regularly eating it for lunch. “He’s the messiest cook I’ve ever seen,” laughed Pat Fuller, who has worked with him for several years. (Yes, that makes two Pats so far, for the math-minded readers. There is a third Pat, actually - another colleague at BKS who works with Ben and Pat Fuller - they all sat next to each other.)
“Ben's part of the family,” Fuller said. “He’s like the dad around here, he’s so kind and giving to everyone. You never feel like you’re interrupting him, you feel like you’re the most important person in his life when you’re in the room with him. He is dearly loved.”
Proceeds from the sales of Ben's Burger in Paradise will go to his family to help with their expenses.
