My sock design is inspired by my spirit animal, the most fabulous of them all, and my mission. My mission is to show young adults everywhere that being fabulous is a state of mind and being positive is the key. When being faced with adversity we have to face the reality of what is yet to come, but how we choose to deal with that reality is entirely up to us. Being able to stay positive throughout my cancer journey has helped me in many ways and finding ways to being fabulous made it all the more fun.

Christa Van Wieringen

My goal with this fundraiser is to raise cancer awareness and to promote a healthy and fabulous lifestyle for all. Battling cancer has changed me both inside and out and the transformation has been magical - I feel more fabulous than ever! The funds I raise will go towards my efforts in challenging myself through physical activity and achieving new goals. In November 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin's Lymphoma and after completing 12 rounds of chemo and now in remission.

My goals for 2019 include running a half-marathon by training with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training program and also competing in a pole sport competition because pole is life. Finding recovery through fitness has brought me back to life and I am incredibly thankful to be alive.

Our families take great joy in knowing that others are wearing their unique designs all around the world. Wear your socks proudly and tag #RGCommunity
